A little about us
Dragons Blood Studios is the brain child of Blake Carpenter who has been making music since 1984 and recording his own music in home studios since 1999. He has taken courses in engineering at Celebration Sound in Warren, Rhode Island and is self taught in all aspects of recording and mixing. Over the years, Blake has worked with Cakewalk v 3, Cubase, Cakewalk v 9, and Sonar. With the advent of the Mac Pro he is now using Logic Pro 8. Editing, Mixing & Mastering
For those who only require Editing, Mixing or Mastering...DBS offers this professional service also.
The hourly rate for mixing and mastering is $30 per hour. If you have a large project, please call to discuss the details and a very fair package price can be worked up for you.
Recording
Our setup allows for live recording of a five piece ensemble or individual track-by-track. One example of a live band recording:
4 drum tracks + 1 bass track + 1 lead guitar track + 1 rhythm guitar track + 1 scratch vocal
For a professional sound create a strong rhythmic frame to work around:
7 drum tracks + 1 bass track

Prices are calculated in advance per job or we offer an hourly rate that is extremely affordable. When requesting a quote, please include the average length of songs, style of music, number of members, and a link to any recordings you may have online to aid in an accurate estimation of total project time.
Three-song mixed demo $200.00
We can provide session players if you do not have all the components available for the sound you would like. Prices for this service will vary depending on what is needed.
